When was this photo taken? - BBC News

Watch the video and say whether the following statements are true or false:

At the beginning of the video we were shown a black and white portrait and we were asked a question.

Random people were asked about the man in the photo.

Only one woman was able to guess when the photo was taken.

The women were astonished when the correct answer was revealed.

The 23-year-old lady, who introduces herself, comes from Brazil.

A digital colorist restores and colorizes black and white photographs.

The man whose portrait we saw at the beginning of the video wanted to kill an American president.

Lewis Powell is probably still alive.

If you colorize black and white photos you make them look more real.

The colorist changes many things in the photos.

The last portrait shows a girl who lost everything.

Lewis Powell - Marina Amaral

The Beach Boys - Kokomo (LYRICS)

Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take ya
Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego, baby why don't we go, Jamaica
Off the Florida Keys, there's a place called Kokomo
That's where you want to go to get away from it all
Bodies in the sand, tropical drink melting in your hand
We'll be falling in love to the rhythm of a steel drum band
Down in Kokomo
Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take you to
Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego, baby why don't we go
oh I want to take you down to
Kokomo, we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow
That's where we want to go, way down in Kokomo
Martinique, that Montserrat mystique
We'll put out to sea and we'll perfect our chemistry
And by and by we'll defy a little bit of gravity
Afternoon delight, cocktails and moonlit nights
That dreamy look in your eye, give me a tropical contact high
Way down in Kokomo
Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take you to
Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego, baby why don't we go
oh I want to take you down to
Kokomo, we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow
That's where we want to go, way down in Kokomo
Port au Prince, I want to catch a glimpse
Everybody knows a little place like Kokomo
Now if you want to go and get away from it all
Go down to Kokomo
Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take you to
Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego, baby why don't we go
oh I want to take you down to
Kokomo, we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow
That's where we want to go, way down in Kokomo
Aruba, Jamaica, oh I want to take you to
Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego, baby why don't we go

How to describe a memorable holiday photo

https://youtu.be/eLNT45RuVHE

This is a photo I took in Dijon, France last April.

In the foreground, you can see flowers galore (=in abundance, bőség, bőven), mainly tulips and forget-me-not flowers. In the centre of the picture there's my 20-year-old daughter crossing a stone bridge. The background shows some buildings and a tall tree.

We had been in Dijon for a couple of days when we stumbled upon this picturesque park not far from the high street. I really enjoy sightseeing and gardening so when I am in a foreign city I usually visit the most beautiful parks and take a lot of photos.

We had a really amazing day there. The weather was perfect for sightseeing: sunny and warm, refreshingly breezy. Many trees were blossoming. Things were coming to life. The medieval buildings of the old town looked stunning with the clear blue sky in the background. We spent the whole morning sightseeing. Afterwards, we had a picnic in the park. In the afternoon we visited the Museum of Burgundian life, which gave us a lot of information about traditions of the region.

It is one of the most memorable holidays I have ever had. I'm not fond of expensive, exotic holidays that cost me an arm and a leg. I prefer cultural holidays, short trips to affordable European destinations where I can spend time visiting museums, strolling through cobblestone streets and markets, sitting at sidewalk cafes or restaurants sipping wine or coffee.
