Report o. Participation at a Hungarian or International Trade Fair

This report l....  into the question of whether our company should take p... in a trade fair in Hungary or abroad. The costs of participating in fairs i..... the costs of travelling to the fair, transporting our promotional material, accommodation and food. All these costs are considerably higher if we take part in a f..... trade fair. It is also more complicated to transport a large amount of promotional material to a trade fair h... abroad. Participating in a trade fair in Hungary would allow us t. s..... more money on promotion.

The language s.... of those representing our company will not be a c........ All our staff were able to demonstrate that their foreign language s..... are adequate. International fairs are better known and would offer us the opportunity to see the stands of our foreign competitors. We could see what the international trends and latest novelties are in the sweets industry. H......, all of our customers are local and it is unlikely that they would travel a...... to see us. At a trade fair abroad we might not be able to a...... new customers. F........, not being present at Budapest Sweets Fair might be risky, as all our customers visit the event. P........., I recommend participating in the Budapest Sweets Fair and if this is successful, we could plan to go abroad next year.

PERCENT

He said about 99 percent of the people in the world just go along and let things happen to them.

In Montana, where 10 percent of residents spoke German and another 10 percent were of German descent, ministers weren't allowed to preach in German to congregants who understood no English, and one town publicly burned German textbooks, the Bozeman Daily Chronicle reported.

Four percent of all patients dying in tertiary care hospitals in Europe have invasive aspergillosis.

About 96 percent of Spanish women use fragrances, a trend matched by Spanish men, about 85 percent of whom use cologne.

15% of an organization's time is spent in meetings

The Ugly Truth About Meetings

For the attention of BÁLINT and Dóri és valahány név van a naptárban: LANGUAGE CERT, TELC advice

1. Instead of learning new things use what you already have. Choose your words more carefully.

Instead of saying:                                                  say:

My grandmother is 83.  ---)        My grandmother on my mother's side is in her early eighties.

My grandma is 83. She is very healthy. --) Although my grandmother is in her early thirties, she is as fit as a fiddle.

I like football.                                  I'm fond of team sports, especially football.

I don't like Maths.                           I'm not really interested in Mathematics.

I don't like him. He's always late.    I'm really fed up with him because he tends to be late.

2. Prepare your collection of favourite phrases.

if you ask me,

last but not least,

I'm obsessed with ...

depends on ...

as far as I know ...

recharge my batteries ...

3. Don't be afraid to use 'advanced' level grammar:

If more people used public transport, there would be fewer traffic jams.

I wish I had more time to go to the theatre.

Esperanto is not worth learning.

I am always forgetting his name.

4. Learn a couple of fancy words:

https://www.merriam-webster.com/word-of-the-day/congenial-2021-12-19

"There's no question that Sloan was a competitor, but throughout the competition he was congenial and respectful…." — The Austin (Minnesota) Daily Herald, 3 Nov. 2021

Congenial means "pleasant, friendly, or suitable."

// The office is a congenial place to work.

// The tour guide was very congenial.

// The grapes thrive in the congenial climate.

5. Crack a joke or two. Maintain eye contact. Smile.

6. Be interesting and up-to-date.

7. Warm up before the exam. Instead of chatting in Hungarian or reading your facebook feed talk with someone in English. Or talk on your own, e.g. answer questions:
