  • What is the most difficult Olympic sport?

If you want to stay healthy, energetic and slim, you should play sports regularly.

If you ask me, we spend too much time indoors (especially in winter), we sit at our desks at the office or school all day long. That's why I really like outdoor sports, like skiing. I go skiing when I can find the time and money. After a week on the slopes I feel refreshed and very fit. However, skiing has some disadvantages; you have to buy or rent the equipment, which is very expensive. You need skis, boots, bindings, poles, a good jacket and trousers, a helmet, gloves, goggles.

If you can't afford skiing, you can start running or jogging. It is a great individual sport. You don't need a partner, you don't have to travel or buy costly equipment. Just step out of your house and start running. Of course, you should invest in running shoes and use common sense. I mean, start with a short distance, then add kilometres step by step. And, of course, avoid dark and deserted streets and don not run in the park after sunset.

I'm also fond of cycling. If you cycle to work or school you can keep fit and protect the environment at the same time. You can also go on bike trips and ride your bike in beautiful places, like riding on the wonderful Lake Balaton cycle trail.

I also enjoy playing team sports like hockey, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, water polo, ultimate, lacrosse, American Football, rowing, cricket, handball

because I can play with my friends and team sports also teach cooperation. Being a good team player is important when you want to work as part of a group.

There are sports that are more popular with men, like football, boxing, weightlifting, wrestling or car racing. But generally, girls and boys can do the same sports. Car racing is considered dangerous, but not as dangerous as extreme sports such as paragliding, skydiving, rock climbing or rafting.

The ideal type of exercise depends on you age, too. Young people prefer more dynamic sports, like basketball or running, whilst older generations are keen on hiking, walking or gardening.

My Dream Holiday

I'm fond of travelling so it's very hard to pick one destination.

If I won the lottery or if I had more time or money, I would probably travel round the world.

I would spend a couple of weeks in every country. I would travel by car whenever it is possible because I think it's the most flexible way to travel. I might buy an RV that has a comfortable bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen and I would stop wherever I want.

Of course I would try other means of transport: I would fly first class to America or Australia, I would go on a cruise in the Caribbean.

I would start in Europe and explore my continent first. Every country is famous for different things and all of them are worth visiting. Italy is famous for pizza and beautiful Roman ruins, France is famous for its museums and excellent parfumes, England is worth visiting because of its beautiful castles and history.

I would stay in 5-star hotels in Europe and enjoy the comfort and luxury.

My last holiday

I travelled to Dijon, France to visit my daughter who studied there. It was an 8-day trip.

I travelled by air from Budapest to Basel where I took the TGV train to Dijon. It was a very interesting journey because the train travelled at a speed of 320 kilometres.

I stayed in an Airb'nb apartment in a quiet street. We usually spent ther day sightseeing, visiting museums and shopping. We usually had lunch and dinner in a restaurant. France is famous for its food and we really enjoyed eating out there.

The weather was perfect: warm and sunny on most days. As far as I remember it was the middle of September, I was really lucky with the weather.

We went on a day trip to Lyon where we explored the castle district and did some shoopping on high street.

Overall, it was a very pleasant holiday. I recommend Dijon to travellers who like history and culture but would like to avoid crowds and tourist traps.
