EVERYONE SHOULD KEEP A PET
You will have a conversation with your examiner about the above statement. Give your opinion and argue for or against the proposition. Your examiner will sometimes contradict you. React to the counter arguments of your examiner too. You have 60 seconds to think your points over.
FOR:
- Pets help teenagers to develop a sense of responsibility and duty.
- Through pets one might learn a lot abou nature, different types of animals, their needs.
- Animals can reduce stress levels of people.
- Animals are more reliable, loyal than people.
- Some dogs assist the blind, work as life savers after earthquakes etc.
AGAINST:
- There is a lot of work to be done (walking the dog, feeding, cleaning cages, fish tanks)
- It’s hard to go on holiday. Who will lokk after the pet while you are away? Can you take the pet with you?
- Pets spread diseases.
- It’s hard to keep your flat tidy. Pets damage furniture and walls. Pets smell!ű
- When you pet dies you will have a hard time overcoming your sorrow. It’s a great shock!
- Small flats are not ideal for pets.
